Job Description:


 

Seeking BE/ BC Family Practice, Internal Medicine and Urgent Care Physicians for ICE- Immigration Customs Enforcement Medical Facility in Pearsall, TX.

COMPETENCIES:
 

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from a U.S. or Canadian school as approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals, American Medical Association in the list published for the incumbent's year of graduation.
Unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the state of GA.
Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalent degree from a medical school other than one covered by the above (including foreign schools), provided that the medical education and the knowledge acquired is substantially comparable and equivalent to that of graduates of approved medical schools as described in above.
Maintains clinical professional skills via continuing education opportunities.
Maintains CPR/BLS certification.
Maintains ACLS certification.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.

 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

Conducts a program of primary medical care with responsibility for examination, diagnosis and treatment of detained patients.
Provides medical treatment and advise to patients a indicated.
Secures case history and related pertinent information.
Examines patients, utilizes laboratory and X-ray diagnostic tests, interpreting results for differential diagnosis.
Provides diagnosis and performs necessary treatment, including follow-up treatment as indicated..
Refers patients with complex conditions/treatment beyond the scope of the on-site intermediary level infirmary to an appropriate off site medical facility for care or consultation.
Prescribes and/or dispenses required medication to patients.
Seeks advice and specialty consultation as required.
Provides professional supervision to the assigned staff of nurses, physician assistants and other para-professionals.
Other duties as assigned.
