Psych PA for North Central IA.
Psychiatry department seeking PA to join them in providing services to patients in the north-central Iowa area. Responsibilities include mostly inpatient psychiatric services including assessments, intakes, evaluations, medication management, etc. PA will order & evaluate labs and diagnostic tests, handle admissions and discharges, and attend care meetings.
The community is located half-way between Minneapolis, MN & Des Moines, IA. Close to a recreational lake area. Excellent school systems. Other amenities include a fine arts museum, nationally recognized performing arts theater, dance studios, ice skating & hockey facility, and vocal and instrumental music venues.
Qualifications include:

Completion of an accredited physician assistant program

Iowa license or ability to be licensed in the state of Iowa

National certification or eligible to sit for next exam.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Background in psychiatric care beneficial
