Dietetic Services-Dietitian: Under the supervision of the department's manager and in coordination with the department director, the dietitian is responsible for: assessing and documenting patient nutritional status; consulting with physician and other health care personnel to determine nutritional needs; instructing and educating patients and their families in nutritional principles, food plans, food selection, and preparation; creating and presenting nutritional education programs; updates policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain standards of care and regulatory requirements; uses good communication and customer service skills; uses professional and ethical judgment and critical thinking when performing their duties; uses equipment, materials, and systems according to policies, procedures, and practice standards.
Education/Experience
Education/Experience: Bachelors degree with the completion of the accredited dietetic internship program or bachelors degree with the completion of an accredited coordinated program required.
Certificates and Licenses: registered dietitian required or registry-eligible and must obtain with in the first six months of employment; current Kansas state licensure and may require additional state licensure based on population served; BLS certification required or must complete BLS certification with in the first two weeks of employment; additional certification may be required for certain settings or populations. Specific information and the timeframe in which such certification must be attained will be provided by the department director/manager/supervisor at time of hire/transfer into department.
Schedule Availability: Ability to work Monday through Friday and on call rotation
